Why is Spring hosting JUMP-CP?

The Broad Institute and JUMP-CP Consortium have created an incredible resource in order to help "make cell images as computable as genomes and transcriptomes." The Broad Institute invited us to create an easy way for anyone to view and analyze the dataset for themselves. We are excited to help the JUMP-CP Consortium with this mission, spreading usage and awareness of Cell Painting.

Is this tool free?

Yes — JUMP-CP's dataset is an open, public resource to help advance computational Cell Painting work. Spring's JUMP-CP explorer will always be open and free for all.

Why does the tool ask for my email to login?

Our platform requires an email address in order to create an account that saves settings and state for each user. Our application lets users create their own training sets, analysis views, notes, and collaborative environments. Having accounts lets us provide all this to our users.

Emails used to log in will be kept strictly private, will never be shared, and will not be used for any marketing purpose.

What's coming next?

We're adding more to our analysis platform rapidly! You can expect tools to train models on data with an active learning framework, visualizations of multiple features measured against one another, and reports to check quality control across a set of images are all on the near-term roadmap. All of these features will be enabled for the JUMP-CP explorer for free.
